TruSurround and Virtual Dolby Digital
TruSurround uses technology that simulates multichannel surround
sound using only two speakers. Virtual Dolby Digital works in
conjunction with Dolby Digital audio sources to create a realistic
surround sound. Virtual Dolby Digital is selected automatically when
Dolby Digital sources are loaded.
TruSurround and the symbol are trademarks of SRS Labs, Inc. in
the United States and selected foreign countries. TruSurround
technology is incorporated under license from SRS Labs, Inc.
Audio DRC
• Default setting: Off
When watching Dolby Digital DVDs at low volume, it’s easy to lose the
low level sounds completely — including some of the dialog.
Switching on the
Audio DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)
setting can help things by bringing up the low level sounds, while
keeping the lid on high level peaks.
The Off setting leaves the original dynamics intact; High
‘squashes’ the dynamics the most, but exactly how much difference
you can hear between the settings will depend on the material you’re
watching.

Remember: Audio DRC is only effective with Dolby Digital audio
sources.
TruSurround et Virtual Dolby Digital
Le système TruSurround utilise une technologie qui simule le son

système Virtual Dolby Digital opère avec les sources audio Dolby

DRC audio
• Réglage par défaut : Off
Lorsque vous visionnez des DVD Dolby Digital à faible volume, vous
risquez de ne pas percevoir complètement les sons de faible niveau—
y compris une partie des dialogues. La commutation du réglage
Audio DRC (Dynamic Range Compression) peut améliorer les
conditions d’écoute en augmentant les sons de faible niveau tout en
limitant les crêtes de haut niveau.
Le réglage Off laisse la dynamique du son original intacte ; le
réglage High ␣ “␣ écrase␣ ” le plus la dynamique, mais la différence
réellement perceptible entre les réglages dépend du programme que
vous êtes en train de visionner.
N’oubliez pas : Audio DRC est uniquement opérant avec les
sources audio Dolby Digital.
