The material in the Viewer overwrites any material already between the sequence In and
Out points you specified. The speed of the source clip changes to compensate for the
difference in duration.

Before a fit to fill edit

The speed of the
clip changes to fit
the specified area of
the sequence.

After a fit to fill edit

Using Speed Settings with Multiclips

You can apply constant speed changes to an entire multiclip (including all its component
camera angle clips).

To change the speed of an entire multiclip using the Change Speed dialog

Select the multiclip in the Timeline or the Browser.

Note: If the clip has existing speed settings, they will be replaced by the adjustments you
make in the Change Speed dialog.

Choose Modify > Change Speed (or press Command-J).

The Change Speed dialog appears.

Use any of the controls in the Change Speed dialog to create the speed effect you want.

Click OK.
