The Share window opens with a single output representing the group selection you made
in step 1.

Use the Destination Folder pop-up menu or the Choose button to navigate to your chosen
destination folder for the output media files.

Choose an output type for the group of output media files in the Output Type pop-up
menu.

Optionally, use the Filename Template to edit the formula for the names of the output
media files.

Note: In this “separate sources” case, the Filename Template displays the name token as
[Source]. This placeholder token cannot be edited or deleted. On output, this placeholder
token is replaced with the source filename.

Optionally, click the Show Info button to see detailed information about each output
media file.

Optionally, remove or add any additional outputs by clicking the Remove Output or Add
Output button.

Optionally, select the action checkbox for the output to activate any post-transcoding
actions.

The action drawer opens.

Optionally, use the Cluster pop-up menu to choose which computer or cluster will process
the batch.

The default computer is This Computer, meaning the computer on which Final Cut Pro
is open.

Click Export.

The Transcoding Progress window appears and Share creates the output media files. Click
the Cancel button if you want to stop the export process.

Types of Group Selections

Using Share, you can export groups of clips and sequences in the following combinations:

• A group of sequences

• A group of Browser clips

• A group of sequences and Browser clips

• A group of sequences and/or Browser clips as multiple sources
