Proper battery condition is essential to good machine performance and operational
safety. Improper fluid levels or damaged cables and connections can result in
component damage and hazardous conditions.

Put on protective clothing and eyewear.

Be sure that the battery cable connections are free of corrosion.

Be sure that the battery retaining fasteners and cable connections are
tight.

Inspect the battery charger plug and pigtail for damage or excessive
insulation wear. Replace as required.

Connect the battery charger to a properly grounded AC power supply.

You can expect a minimum of 35 complete up and down cycles from your PLE
Lift; some factors include battery charge, outside temperate and platform
weight.

Eight hours are required to completely recharge your machine with the
onboard automatic charger with the switch set to Flood Batteries.

Scissors Lift Arm Wear Pads

Maintaining the scissor arm wear pads is essential to safe machine operation.
Continued use of worn out wear pads may result in component damage and unsafe
operating conditions.

Apply a thin layer of dry film lubricant to the area of the chassis where the
scissor arm wear pads make contact.

Electrical Wiring

Maintaining electrical wiring in good condition is essential to safe operation and
good machine performance. Failure to find and replace burnt, chafed, corroded or
pinched wires could result in unsafe operating conditions and may cause component
damage.
