Battery Replacement
The communications case is powered by a disposable battery pack with a
typical battery life of approximately 5 years. The PC software provides a low
battery voltage indicator available during communication with the case or
loggers for checking the status.
When necessary, users may replace the battery pack in the Enigma
communications case. New battery packs are available through ADS.
Note: To maintain the IP68 integrity of the loggers, the user may not
replace the batteries in the individual loggers. Logger battery
replacement must be performed by ADS. Please contact ADS for
more information.
Replacing the battery pack in the communications case involves a very simple
procedure performed in the following way:
1. Lift up and remove the foam panel to expose the battery pack.

2. Disconnect the battery connector and lift up the battery (secured with
Velcro) from the communications case.
3. Insert the new battery unit (secure with Velcro) and connect the
battery connector (the connector will only fit one way).
4. Replace the foam panel.
5. Dispose of the old battery according to local battery disposal
regulations.
