Noise Sources Close to Loggers
Loggers located directly over or very close to a leak may not be able to
accurately locate the source of the leak noise. When this occurs, move the
affected logger further away from the source of noise.
Problems with Trunk Mains and Plastic Pipes
It may be difficult to obtain satisfactory correlation when examining trunk
mains or long lengths of plastic pipe. The nature of such pipes causes
predominately low frequency leak noise, as high frequencies attenuate rapidly.
