Specifying Mandatory Entry of User ID and/or Patient ID

A User ID and/or Patient ID can be entered for any test. The User ID and/or Patient ID will be
included in the results record for tests that are run.

The instrument can be configured so that a valid numeric User ID must be entered before a test
result will be displayed. If this option is enabled, the user is prompted to enter (or verify, if it was
previously entered) the User ID after the test has started. If a valid User ID is not entered, the
instrument locks until a valid User ID is entered.

Enabling the Requirement to Enter a User ID:

Important:

The User ID for the “QA User” must be entered in order to enable
the requirement to enter a User ID. See page 21 for details.
