SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, BEFORE PERFORMING ANY
SERVICE OR ADJUSTMENTS:

1. Depress brake pedal fully and set parking brake.

2. Place attachm ent clutch in “DISENGAGED” position.

3. Turn ignition key to “STO P” and rem ove key.
4.

M ake sure the blades and all m oving parts have com pletely stopped.

5. Disconnect spark plug w ire from spark plug and place w ire w here it cannot

com e in contact w ith plug.

TO REMOVE MOWER

1.

Place

attachm ent

clutch

in

“DISEN­

G AG ED” position.

Low er attachm ent lift lever to its lowest

position.

Roll belt off engine pulley (M ) and belt

keepers (G ).

Rem ove retainer spring (K), slide collar

(L) off and push housing guide (P) out

of bracket.

Rem ove clutch cable spring (Q) from

idler arm (R).

Disconnect front link (E) from m ow er -
rem ove retainer spring and w asher.
G o to either side of m ow er and discon­
nect m ow er suspension arm (A) from

chassis pin (B) and rear lift link (C) from

rear m ow er bracket (D) - rem ove retainer
springs and washers.

CAUTION:

After rear lift links are discon­

nected, the attachm ent lift lever will be spring
loaded. Have a tight grip on lift lever when

Slide m ow er out from under right side of

tractor.

IMPORTANT:

If an attachm ent other than

the m ow er is to be m ounted on the tractor,

rem ove the front link (E) and rear lift liks

(C) from tractor and hook the clutch spring

(Q )

into the cable guide on front edge of

low er dash.

TO INSTALL MOWER

Be sure tractor is on level surface and engage

parking brake.

1. Low er attachm ent lift lever to its lowest

position.

CAUTION:

Lift lever is spring loaded.

Have a tight grip on lift lever, low er it slow ly

and engage in low est position.

NOTE:

Be sure m ow er side suspension

arm s (A) are pointing forw ard before sliding

m ow er under tractor.

2. Slide m ow er under tractor until it is cen­

tered under tractor.
