CHECK TIRE PRESSURE

The

tires

on your

tractor

w ere overinflated

at the factory for shipping purposes. Cor­
rect tire pressure is im portant for best

cutting perform ance.
• Reduce tire pressure to PSI show n on

tires.

CHECK DECK LEVELNESS

For best cutting results, m ow er hous­
ing should be properly leveled. See “TO

LEVEL M O W ER” in the Service and

Adjustm ents section of this m anual.

CHECK FOR PROPER POSITION
OF ALL BELTS

See the figures that are show n for replac­
ing m otion and m ow er blade drive belts

in the Service and Adjustm ents section
of this m anual. Verify that the belts are
routed correctly.

CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM

After you learn how to operate your trac­

tor, check to see that the brake is operat­

ing properly. See “TO CHECK BRAKE”

in the Service and Adjustm ents section of

this m anual.

/CHECKLIST

Before you operate your new tractor, we

w ish to assure that you receive the best

perform ance and satisfaction from this
O uality Product.
Please review the follow ing checklist:
/ All assem bly instructions have been

com pleted.

/ No rem aining loose parts in carton.
/ Battery is properly prepared and

charged.

/ Seat is adjusted com fortably and tight­

ened securely.

/ All tires are properly inflated. (For ship­

ping purposes, the tires w ere overin­

flated at the factory).

/ Be sure m ow er deck is properly leveled

side-to-side/front-to-rear for best cutting

results. (Tires m ust be properly inflated

for leveling).

/ Check m ow er and drive belts. Be sure

they are routed properly around pulleys

and inside all belt keepers.

/ Check w iring. See that all connections

are still secure and w ires are properly

clam ped.

/ Before driving tractor, be sure freew heel

control is in “transm ission engaged”
position (see “TO TRANSPO RT” in the
O peration section of this m anual).

W hile learning how to use your tractor, pay

extra attention to the follow ing im portant
item s:
/ Engine oil is at proper level.
/ Fuel tank is filled w ith fresh, clean, regu­

lar unleaded gasoline.

/ Becom e fam iliar with all controls, their

location and function. Operate them
before you start the engine.

/ Be sure brake system is in safe operat­

ing condition.

/ Be sure O perator Presence System

and Reverse O peration System (RO S)

are w orking properly (See the O pera­

tion and M aintenance sections in this

m anual).

/ It is im portant to purge the transm ission

before operating your tractor for the first

tim e. Follow proper starting and transm is­

sion purging instructions (See “TO START

ENG INE” and “PURG E TRANSM ISSIO N”
in the O peration section of this m anual).
