Focusing point selection method

This converts the

< t ^ >

button or

f e l

>

button into the <dD> button. You

can thereby position the focusing point selector according to your personal
preference. The <0> dial can also be used to select a horizontal or
vertical focusing point.

This reverses the functions of the

<E1]>

button and

< 1^>

button.

Press the < > button, then turn the < > dial to

select a horizontal focusing point or turn the <Q> dial to select
a vertical focusing point.

C.Fn-11-2;

While exposure metering is active, turn the <0> dial to

select a horizontal (or peripheral focusing point with C.Fn-

13-3 set) focusing point.

This is also possible while you press

the shutter button halfway during Al Servo AF.
To select a vertical focusing point, hold down the <[>3> button
and turn the <

> dial. (If C.Fn-18-1/2 has been set, a vertical

focusing point cannot be selected in this way.)
Turning the dial beyond the peripheral focusing point will not
select any other focusing point.
C.Fn-11-1 operations are also possible.

Pressing the

<EE)>

button during autofocusing will switch

to the automatic focusing point selection mode.
