2.4 Main Menu

Following is a brief description of the Main Menu items.

1. System Configuration - Use the System Configuration menu item to view and set values
for the system information and communications parameters.

2. Diagnostics - Use the Diagnostics menu item to set up loopback, VLAN Loopback,
latency, jitter and cable diagnostics, or PING tests and to configure and run the Performance
Management (PM) and Service Availability Monitoring (SAM) optional software features.

3. Port Information - Use the Port Information menu to ascertain the current conditions for
all ports in the 9145E, and to view the configuration information for specific ports.

4. System Alarms - The System Alarms screen displays current conditions for loca alarms.

5. System Log - The System Log screen displays all system events.

6. Utilities - Use the Utilities menu to set-up, modify and display basic functional information.

7. Software Upgrade - Use the Software Upgrade screen to download and install new firm-
ware, swap firmware banks, reset firmware, or to view current firmware or bootcode.

8. Manage Logged in Users - The Manage Logged In Users screen provide the administra-
tor with the means to view current users, and to terminate user sessions when required.

9. 802.3AH OAM - Use the OAM menu to set, change, and view various link layer OAM func-
tions.

10. Logout - Logout terminates your current session. If your current session was a Telnet
session, it also drops the Telnet connection.
