When there is a television set nearby
The picture on the TV
disappears or stripes
appear on the screen.
The location and orientation of the antenna are
incorrect.
•if an indoor antenna is being used, change to an
outdoor antenna.
•Separate the TV set from the system.
The wiring at the back of the system is incorrect. Separate the antenna wire of the TV set from the
system.
While listening to ta pes
Sound is low, Intermittent,
of poor quality, noisy,
scratchy, or unsteady. Heads are dirty. Ciean the heads.
The deck section does not
enter the recording mode. The erase-prevention tabs are removed from the
cassette. Attach tape to cover the space left by renrwval of
the erase-prevention tabs.
While listening to compact discs
The drawer does not close
when you load a disc and
press the OPEN/CLOSE
button.
The disc is not positioned correctiy in the disc tray. Reinsert the disc.
The display will not show
the correct Indication.
Disc play does not start
when you press the play
button.
A certain part of the disc
does not play.
The disc is not positioned correctiy in the disc tray. Reinsert the disc.
The disc is ioaded upside down. Reload the disc.
The disc is dirty. Wipe the disc with a soft doth.
The disc is scratched. Skip the scratched part of the disc (skip piay).
The disc is badly warped. Replace the disc with a new one.
The disc is a nonstandard one. Replace the disc with a different one.
There is condensation inside the disc changer. Switch the power ON, then wait for one hour
before using the disc changer.
While using the remote control
The remote control will not
operate the system. You have installed the batteries in the reverse
poiarity. Reinsert the batteries in the correct poiarity.
The batteries are worn out. Repiace the batteries with new ones.
The servicer will require all components to service your system.
Therefore, should service ever be necessary, be sure to bring the entire system.
