PPPoE Connection Setup
PPPoE is a protocol for encapsulating PPP frames in Ethernet frames and is described
in RFC 2516. PPPoE provides the ability to connect to a network of hosts over a
simple bridging access device to a remote Access Concentrator. With this model,
each host utilizes its own PPP stack and access control, billing, and type of service
control can all be done on a per-user rather than per-site basis.
Follow the instructions below to configure the gateway as PPPoE.
1. From the Setup main page, click on New Connection.
The default PPPoE connection setup is displayed. The following picture illustrates
a typical PPPoE configuration.
