Source

The "source" is the surface from which pixel data can be sampled to create a pixel map output. In this case, the
source is the final, composited rendering surface of the Mbox server. Note that this surface will not be affected by the
overall keystone and warp functionality.

The size of the source is based on the rendering surface used, which is different depending on the operating mode:

+

Single Output mode - rendering surface is the one output.

+

Panoramic modes - rendering surface is the combination of both outputs; overlap area is not repeated.

+

Dual Independent mode - rendering surface is Output 1 only.

The source is configured using the Source controls in the lower portion of the Pixel Map tab.

+

Dimensions - defines the width and height of the source in screen pixels.

+

sACN output priority - assigns a global priority value for all pixel mapping output via sACN. The priority can be a
value between 0 and 200, with 100 being the default. (Refer to

"Protocols"

on page 46 for more information.)

CAUTION!

Incorrectly sized source dimensions may lead to unexpected results.

When creating a pixel map configuration while connected to an Mbox server, it is very useful to enable Live
Editing in order to immediately visualize the results of pixel mapping changes (in the Mbox window). This
scenario will also allow Mbox Remote to provide feedback (flags and warnings) whenever errors are made in
the configuration. Refer to

"Live Editing"

on page 53 and

"Previsualization"

on page 83 for more information

about how these elements work together.
