M16 Microphone Amplifier

3.4.3

MUTE switch

16 MUTE switches are also provided to allow the operator to mute
any of the 16 microphone channels. When enabled, these switches
are illuminated red.

3.4.4

Channel Control Section

The M16 Channel Control Section provides complete control over all
microphone channel parameters.

While it is possible to control a single channel, the M16 also provides
the ability to quickly select and simultaneously control multiple chan-
nels.

3.4.5

Single Channel Selection

Using the bank of PFL switches, select the channel that requires al-
teration. This assigns the Channel Control Section to the selected
microphone channel.

Example:

Control of Channel 5 parameters

Select channel 5’s PFL switch. The PFL switch will illuminate and the
Channel Control Section will be assigned to channel 5.

3.4.6

Multiple Channel Selection

Using the bank of PFL switches, select the first channel that requires
the parameter change(s). Keeping this switch pressed, select the
other channels that are required to be simultaneously controlled. All
the selected PFL switches will illuminate.

NOTE: Once two or more channels are selected, the ‘x’ indica-
tor located at the bottom of the Channel Gain Indicator in the
Channel Control Section is illuminated. This indicates that mul-
tiple channels are now being controlled via the Channel Control
Section.

Example:

Selecting Channels 1 to 5 for multi-channel control

Press and hold the PFL switch for channel 1. While holding down
channel 1 PFL switch, select channels 2, 3, 4 and 5 PFL switches.
All five PFL switches are now illuminated as is the ‘x’ indicator in the
Channel Control Section.

Clearing multiple channel selections

To clear a multiple channel selection, simply press any PFL switch.

NOTE: When either a single or multiple channel selection is
made, it is possible to monitor the channel(s) via the head-
phone socket or the rear panel PFL OUT output connector.
