RM16 Meters

16 channel meters are provided on the RM16, therefore providing
comprehensive metering for every channel on the selected M16.

The 20 segment meter scale is from -36dBu to +21dBu in 3dB incre-
ments.

4.11.1

Channel Mute indication

Channel Mute indication on the RM16 is provided via channel me-
ters. When a channel is muted (either locally or remotely) the asso-
ciated channel LED on the channel meter illuminates. See also

Meter Brightness Control

It is possible to alter the brightness levels of these meters. This is a
useful feature as ambient lighting varies according to where a per-
formance is held. For example, an outdoor festival may be held in
very bright conditions, thereby requiring very bright and highly con-
trasting meters, or conversely a theatrical performance where there
is an importance for audio equipment to emit as little light as possi-
ble.

From the RM16 root menu (see

FIG 4-7. RM16 root menu

) select

Edit by pressing the associated illuminated button below the menu.

Select System from the Edit menu.

Select User

Use the - Brightness + buttons beneath the menu screen to adjust
the brightness of the channel meters.
