an acoustic alaem will sound, and the LCD displays "ALL SHIP SAFETY FROM
MMSI

The pressure to the function key MENU/SELECT will deactivate the alarm and

display

After receiving the alarm,EXIT Press 16 or PTT

9.4 Receiving a distress call

When the transceiver receives a distress call, an acoustic alarm will sound.

LCD scrolls "DISTRESS MESSAGE FROM 888888888 (MMSI)"

The pressure to the function key MENU/SELECT will deactivate the alarm.

Press UP/DOWN key to view DISTRESS information if the other party to cancel

the DISTRESS, LCD displays "DISTRESS CANCEL ALERT FROM MMSI"

When the signal also includes position and time data, these information will
appear on the display.
If no position and time data are included in the signal, the display will indicate
99 99 9 99 99 8 8 :88.

Receiving a General call to all ships (ALL SHIP SAFETY-

ALL SHIP URGENCY)

or ALL SHIP URGENCY From MMSI

Safety call to set the display will jump to the other side channels, Urgency call

display will jump to 16 channels

Every time KV-300 receives a General call to all ships(ALL SHIP SAFETY- ALL

SHIP URGENCY) call an entry will be stored in the list of registered calls "LOG".

Every time KV-300 receives a Distress call an entry will be stored in the list

of registered calls "LOG".
