Requesting a diagnostics report from a device registered to a card

The SSP-3801 card can provide a diagnostic archive that contains detailed technical
information about the card, its processes, and about the Densité 3 frame hosting the card.
When you click Request Diagnostics, you will receive an email containing a link from which
you can download the diagnostic archive.

To request the diagnostics:

1 In the top menu, click Settings.

2 Click the Device Settings tab.

3 In the Devices list, click the name of the device for which you want a report.

4 Click Request Diagnostics.

Renewing a device’s security certificate

When an SSP-3801 card is registered a device, it receives a signed security certificate that is
used to authenticate it against the GV STRATUS Playout service. Three months before the
security certificate is due to expire, it is automatically renewed. However, you can force an
early renewal of the security certificate at any time as long as the existing certificate is still
valid. This can be useful when there are technical problems with the issuing certificate or to
test if the certificate renewal mechanism is functioning correctly.

To manually renew the certificate for a device:

1 In the top menu, click Settings.

2 Click the Device Settings tab.

3 In the Devices list, click the name of the device that you want to update.

4 Click Renew Security Certificate.

Testing response time for the web client, the service, and the SSP-
3801 cards

The Test Device Response Time button on the Channel Settings page is a tool you can use
to measure the response time between the GV STRATUS Playout web client, the GV
STRATUS Playout service, and an SSP-3801 card. Once clicked, it measures two values, the
cloud response time and the round trip response time, and displays them on the Channel
Settings page.

The cloud response time measures the time it takes for the GV STRATUS Playout service to
receive a message sent from the GV STRATUS Playout web client. A typical cloud response
time is approximately 250 milliseconds.

The round trip response time measures the time it takes for a message to travel from the GV
STRATUS Playout web client to the GV STRATUS Playout service to an SSP-3801 card and
then back again without taking into account the time required to actually process a
command. A typical round trip response time is approximately 500 milliseconds.

Note:

The button will not reflect the state of the certificate renewal.
