POINT−TO−POINT DATA SWITCHING OPTIONS

Normally, a distribution switcher allows an input to be sent to more than one output. For example, the video in Figure 5−23
could be switched to two destinations at the same time.

In a data switcher, it may be desirable to restrict operation to “point−to−point” switching. For example, this would insure that
the transmit data from an editor could be switched to only one VCR at a time, as shown in Figure 5−24.
