No connection to the router's

configuration environment

Use the ping command to check whether you can

establish a network connection to the Gigaset

SE505 dsl/cable.

Check the network cable between the PC you want

to use to administer the router and the Gigaset

SE505 dsl/cable.

If the PC you want to use is on the router's local

network, make sure that you are using the correct IP

address administration (see above).

If the PC you want to use is not on the router's local

network it must be authorised via Remote

Management.

Password forgotten or lost

Reset the router (see page 108).

Warning: Please bear in mind that this will restore all

configuration settings to the factory settings.

You cannot access a resource

(drive or printer) on a

different PC

Make sure that TCP/IP has been installed and

configured on all the PC's on the local network and

that the PC's all belong to the same workgroup.

Check whether the resource has been released on

the PC in question and whether you have the

necessary access rights.

Printing: Check whether the printer has been set up

as a network printer.
