Battery life

Measured during DVD playback in “NORMAL” sound mode, BRIGHT knob at the minimum
Battery life may differ depending on the surrounding temperature or conditions under which the player is used.

When the battery power becomes low

The status bar automatically appears and

flashes. The power is automatically turned off after

a few minutes.
When the battery is discharged completely, you will hear short beeps from the headphones and
the POWER indicators on the player and monitor unit will flash in red.

To confirm the remaining battery power

You can check the battery power remaining on the status bar.
If

starts flashing, connect the player to an AC outlet and recharge the battery.

Notes

• If you press NX (

H

on the remote) during charging, charging is suspended until you turn off the player.

• Do not touch the jacks on the player or those on the rechargeable battery. Doing so may cause a malfunction.

• The indicator sections of

roughly shows the remaining battery power. One section does not always indicate

one-third of the battery power, however.

If you do not intend to use the rechargeable battery for a long time, use up the battery completely and keep it in

a cool location to prevent the battery from deteriorating. Charge and use the battery at least once in 6 months.

To use the player with the AC power adaptor

Remove the rechargeable battery when using the player with the AC power adaptor. Connect the
power cord after all other connections are completed.
