Collating copies

If you print multiple copies of a document, you can choose to print each copy as a set (collated) or to print the copies
as groups of pages (not collated).

Load paper.

Load an original document facedown into the ADF or on the scanner glass.

From the control panel, press Copy Mode.

repeatedly until Collate appears.

repeatedly until the number of copies you want to print appears.

Press Start Color or Start Black.

Note: If you are using the scanner glass, a message appears prompting you for additional pages.

Collating copies using the computer

The printer can sort multiple copy jobs. If you print two copies of a three-page document, and you choose not to
collate them, the pages print in this order: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3. If you choose to collate, the pages print in this order: 1, 2, 3,
1, 2, 3.

With a document open, click File Œ Print.

Enter the number of copies to print in the Copies field.

Choose Collated.
