Set the REMOTE LED on the front panel to the
off status (LOCAL mode).

two VTRs (deck-to-deck)
Source side:
Press the “9P 1394” REMOTE button on the front panel
for 2 or more seconds to set the VTR to the REMOTE
status. (The LED lights.)
Recorder side:
Set the REMOTE LED on the front panel to the off
status (LOCAL mode).
