Conventions Used in This Manual

The following conventions are used in this manual:

Angle brackets enclose the name of a key on the keyboard (for example,
<Option>.

-

A hyphen between two or more key names enclosed in angle brackets
denotes that you should simultaneously press the named keys—for
example, <Control-Alt-Delete>.

The

symbol indicates that the text following it applies only to a

specific product, a specific operating system, or a specific software
version.

This icon to the left of bold italicized text denotes a note, which alerts
you to important information.

This icon to the left of bold italicized text denotes a caution, which
advises you of precautions to take to avoid injury, data loss, or a
system crash.

This icon to the left of bold italicized text denotes a warning, which
advises you of precautions to take to avoid being electrically shocked.

bold

Bold text denotes the names of menus, menu items, dialog box buttons
or options, or LEDs.

bold italic

Bold italic text denotes a note, caution, or warning.

bold monospace

Bold text in this font denotes the messages and responses that the
computer automatically prints to the screen.
