IP Policy Routing 12-5
FIELD DESCRIPTION
Type of Service Prioritize incoming network traffic by choosing from Don’t Care, Normal, Min
Delay, Max Thruput or Max Reliable.
Packet Length Enter the length of incoming packets (in bytes). The operators in the Len Comp
field (next) apply to packets of this length.
Len Comp Press [ SPACE BAR ] to choose from Equal, Not Equal, Less, Greater, Less
or Equal or Greater or Equal.
Precedence Precedence value of the incoming packet. Choices are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or
Don’t Care.
Source:
Addr start= / end= Source IP address range from start to end.
Port start= / end= Source port number range from start to end; applicable only for TCP/UDP.
Destination:
Addr start= / end= Destination IP address range from start to end.
Port start= / end= Destination port number range from start to end; applicable only for TCP/UDP.
Action= Choose whether action should be taken on criteria Matched or Not Matched.
Gateway addr Defines the outgoing gateway address. The gateway must be on the same
subnet as the Prestige if it’s on the LAN, otherwise, the gateway must be the IP
address of a remote node. The default gateway is specified as 0.0.0.0.
Log Choose Yes to make an entry in the system log when a policy is executed.
Type of Service Set the new TOS value of the outgoing packet. Choices are No Change,
Normal, Min Delay, Max Thruput or Max Reliable.
Precedence Set the new precedence value of the outgoing packet. Choices are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7 or Don’t Care.

12.2.1 Ethernet IP Policies
From Menu 3 - Ethernet Setup, enter 2 to go to Menu 3.2 -General Ethernet Setup.
