Required Batch Portable Settings
IntelliTrack ISRP uses Remote Data Access (RDA) for workstation data-
base and portable application database communication. RDA must be con-
figured. In addition, if you use the Microsoft Windows Vista operating
system, you must turn on specific IIS settings.
Remote Data Access (RDA): Your workstation application database and
your CE batch portable application database use Remote Data Access to
communicate with each other. RDA includes several components, which
must be configured BEFORE you install the CE Batch application on the
handheld device. RDA includes the workstation application, Internet Infor-
mation Services (IIS), Microsoft ActiveSync or Microsoft Sync Center,
Windows Active Directory Authentication, Microsoft SQL Server, and
Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition.
Internet Information Services (IIS) v7 Required Settings
Note: These requirements pertain to Windows Vista operating systems.
The required settings are listed in this section. If you are not using IIS ver-
sion 7, this section does not apply to you.
Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7 is included with Windows
Vista. However, you must turn Internet Information Services on before you
can use it. Additionally, you must turn on specific web management tools
and world wide web services settings for Remote Data Access (RDA),
which ISRP uses for workstation application database-CE batch portable
application database communication. You must turn on IIS and enable the
required features BEFORE installing IntelliTrack ISRP and the Batch Por-
table component. To turn IIS on and enable the required features for ISRP
CE Batch, please refer to the instructions that follow.
