If you use IIS v7.0, you must turn IIS on and enable specific settings
PRIOR to installing ISRP. Please refer to

“Required Batch Portable

Settings” on page 6

.

Please see your network administrator if you have questions about the
network connection status on your computer or any questions about
IIS.

The Sync URL setting is the network path to the remote server/IIS
location. The Sync URL dll allows the batch portable device to com-
municate with the workstation application database. It is listed in the
Options form\System tab of the ISRP Batch Portable Utility. You
must enter the correct Sync URL setting (the network path to the IIS
server location) in the ISRP Batch Portable Utility. The setting depends
upon your Remote Data Access configuration. For more information

Remote Data Access Setup

Your workstation application database, the ISRP Batch Portable Utility,
and the CE Batch portable application database use Remote Data Access
(RDA) to communicate with each other. This Remote Data Access (RDA)
involves six components:

the workstation application

Internet Information Services (IIS)

Microsoft ActiveSync or Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center
Software for Vista

Windows Active Directory Authentication

Microsoft SQL Server; and

Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition

For a detailed explanation of RDA components, please refer to the Remote
Data Access information in the ISRP application’s online help. To reach the
online help, select Help > Contents from the workstation application’s
menu bar.
