You may only use SQL Server Authentication for logging into SQL
Server.

A domain account is required.

Since IIS and SQL Server reside on different computers, the Create IIS
Dependencies Utility cannot be used. The installer must manually con-
figure IIS dependencies on each PC. For more information about manu-
ally configuring IIS, please refer to

“Manually Configuring Internet

Information Services in Windows XP Operating Systems” on page 27

or

“Manually Configuring Internet Information Services in Windows

Vista Operating Systems” on page 27

.

Set the Sync URL setting in the Batch Synchronization Utility to:
http://{IIS computer name}/{virtual directory
name}/sqlcesa35.dll.

Manually Configuring Internet Information Services in
Windows XP Operating Systems

If you use a Remote Data Access configuration in which IIS and SQL
server reside on different computers, you must manually configure IIS to
run with the domain account.

1.

Create a new domain user or select an existing user.

Note: If the user passwords on your network are set to expire periodically,
the passwords may need to be changed in both the Active Directory and in
the virtual directory configuration.

2.

Manually configure IIS by:
Creating a virtual directory with the physical location pointing to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\IntelliTrack\IIS.
Make a note of the virtual directory name.
The virtual directory should have read and write permissions.
Create an application and change Execute Permissions to Scripts and
Executables.

3.

Configure the virtual directory to impersonate the domain user account.
Please refer to the IIS documentation for instructions on configuring
the anonymous user identity.
