6. Configure the IntelliTrack virtual folder to point to the physical
path of the IntelliTrack folder created above (C:\Program
Files\Common Files\IntelliTrack\IIS).
(The virtual folder physical path is configured from the Edit Applica-
tion window. Reach this window by selecting the IntelliTrack virtual
folder and then selecting Edit Application > Basic Settings in the task
bar to the right.)
Sync URL Setting
Once IIS is setup and configured, check the Sync URL setting in the Batch
Synchronization Utility. (The Sync URL setting is the network path to the
remote server/IIS location. It is listed in the Options form\System tab of
the Batch Utility.) You must enter the correct Sync URL setting (the net-
work path to the IIS server location) in the Batch Synchronization Utility.
The setting depends upon your Remote Data Access configuration. For
more information about setting up Remote Data Access for your system,
please refer to
“Remote Data Access Setup” on page 23 . The Sync URL
setting is found in the Preferences portion of the Batch Synchronization
Utility. To reach the Sync URL setting, for viewing or editing, please refer
to the instructions that follow.
1. From the workstation application, select Portable > Synchronize CE
Device from the menu bar and log into the utility.
2. Form the Main menu in the Batch Synchronization Utility, click the
Tools menu > Options selection to open the Options form. Select the
System tab to bring this portion of the form to the front.
The Sync URL setting is listed in the bottom half of the form. The Sync
URL setting is the network path to the remote server/IIS location. The
setting depends on your Remote Data Access configuration.
If you use the Create IIS Dependencies Utility to configure your IIS
settings, the default Sync URL setting should be correct. It should be
similar to the following example: http://{computer name}/
IntelliTrack/sqlcesa35.dll or http://{IIS com-
puter name}/IntelliTrack/sqlcesa35.dll.
If you manually configure your IIS settings, the default Sync URL set-
ting must be changed to represent the network path to the remote
server/IIS location. The setting should be similar to the following
