.

CE Batch Setup

CE Batch Setup and Installation involves Remote Data Access (RDA)

tion installation.

CE Batch Setup Requirements

In order for successful workstation and batch portable communication,
make sure that your system meets these requirements:

1.

For Windows XP Operating Systems: Your batch portable device and
your PC use Microsoft ActiveSync to communicate with each other.
Make sure your batch portable device is connected to the desktop com-
puter and that a partnership is established between the handheld device
and your computer.
Please note that Microsoft ActiveSync must be installed on the same
computer where the portable(s) will be connected, and it must be con-
figured to allow the portable handheld device to gain access to the net-
work. (Microsoft ActiveSync provides the conduit through which SQL
CE and SQL databases communicate.)
For more information about configuring Microsoft ActiveSync for net-
work communication, please refer to your ISRP online help, or your
online user manual.
