Do not stand the loudspeaker upright or lay it on its side on the floor.
To ensure proper air movement for the cooling of the amplifier module, we recommend a minimum of 2 to 3 feet of clearance in front of the
loudspeaker and 1 inch of clearance from the other cabinet surfaces.
Installation should only be performed by skilled personnel
These loudspeakers are intended to be securely mounted using the Renkus-Heinz, Inc. HK Series hinge kits and are not intended to be
free-standing:
Array models IC8-R-II, IC16-R-II & IC16/8-R-II Hinge Kit Model HK-IC8R &16R
Array models IC24-R-II, IC32-R-II & IC32/16-R-II Hinge Kit Model HK-IC24R &32R
The wall mounting kits have been evaluated for wall mounting on 1/2” drywall on 2x4 studs using wood bolts secured into a 2x4 stud plus
toggle bolts into the 1/2: drywall. Wood bolts: ¼” dia. x 1-½” long, 6 TPI, with ½” head; 1/4” toggle bolts.
These loudspeakers have not been evaluated for safety requirements using other mounting kits.
HARDWARE REQUIRED:
- Array models IC8-R-II, IC16-R-II & IC16/8-R-II
Four – 1-½” x ¼” Wood bolts with ½” head and 6 threads per inch
Four – 1/4” Toggle bolts
One – Renkus-Heinz, Inc. Hinge Kit Model HK-IC8R &16R
- Array models IC24-R-II, IC32-R-II & IC32/16-R-II
Six – 1-½” x ¼” Wood bolts with ½” head and 6 threads per inch
Six – 1/4” Toggle bolts
One – Renkus-heinz, Inc. Hinge Kit Model HK-IC24R &3 2R
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Drill
- 5/32” & 5/8” Drill bits
- Socket Driver
- 1/2” Socket
- Philips #2 screwdriver or socket driver
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Each HK series hinge consists of two parts, a male mounting plate and a female mounting plate. The female hinge plates should be
attached to the loudspeakers as shown in the drawings on page 72.. The male mounting plates attach to the wall.
Each male mounting plate is provided with 6 mounting holes. Only two wood bolts in each male mounting plate and screwed into studs and
two 1/4” toggle bolts are needed to fully satisfy mounting needs and safely secure the Renkus-Heinz IC-R-II loudspeakers to the wall.
