ABOUT EXTERNAL CHANNELS

The HERMIT 3000 data logger can
accommodate up to eight 4-20 milliAmp
probes, such as pressure transducers,
attached to its eight numbered channel
connectors. To interpret the output of each
channel, Win-Situ requires specific information on the type of
probe connected and its calibration coefficients. If your software
supports the HERMIT 3000, you can supply this information by
“editing” each channel individually.

EDITING EXTERNAL CHANNELS

Use the following procedure to set up an external channel:

1. In the navigation tree for a HERMIT 3000, select a channel to which

you have attached (or plan to attach) a 4-20 mA probe.

2. In the Information pane, select the action button Edit Channel.

If the HERMIT is running a test, the Edit Channel function will
not be available.
