4.2.5 Example: "Switch on and off + setpoint"

In this example, a frequency inverter is controlled with a setpoint (setpoint frequency). The frequency
inverter responds with an actual value (actual frequency). The "maximum frequency" is parameterised
to 50 Hz.

4.3 Transfer of process data

For POWERLINK the length and structure of the process data are fixed and are determined by the
XDD file. For each direction of transmission and inverter, 6 process values are always available. 1
control/status word and 5 setpoint/actual values. The SK 54xE FI series processes all 5 setpoint/actual
values. All other inverters only process 3 setpoint/actual values. The two other values are ignored.

In addition, for all SK xU4-POL, the switching status of the IOs of the bus module are communicated
via 2 further bytes.
