Enable iLO IP Address Assignment

To configure the BL p-Class server blades for IP address assignment:

Check bays (1 through 16) to select the appropriate BL p-Class server blades.

Click Enable All to select all server blades.

Click Clear All to clear all previous selections.

Click Apply after making the selection.

Moving the Blade or Downgrading the iLO Firmware

If it becomes necessary to move the blade to a new enclosure, or change the iLO
firmware, the following can occur:

If the rack does not support Static IP Bay Configuration and Static IP Bay
Configuration is enabled, the blade will revert to DHCP addressing
automatically.

If the blade is downgraded with Static IP Bay Configuration enabled, the IP
address setting will become static. If you want to use DHCP, you must re-enable
DHCP through the iLO web interface or use an XML script.

Remote Insight Command Language

Several new XML commands have been added to the Remote Insight Command
Language (RIBCL) structure to support reading and writing of Static IP Bay
Configuration in scripting. The new RIBCL commands must be scripted within a
RACK_INFO command block. The new attributes are:

MOD_ISIP_SETTINGS modifies the Static IP Bay Configuration settings. This
command is only valid inside a RACK_INFO block. The logged-in user must
have the configure iLO privilege. This attribute must appear inside the
RACK_INFO command block with MODE = “write.”
