The secondary system serial number, LDKC, controller ID, and port numbers are required. The
secondary SSID may also be required.

NOTE:

When using RAID Manager (including Raidcom), the XP7 serial number requires a

prefix of "3".

Remote path settings are required in order to perform Cnt Ac-S Z pair operations and check
pair status in Remote Web Console. Make sure to complete the procedure. If you cancel
remote path settings, you will be unable to perform operations and check status.

Also, operations involving remote paths cannot be performed when changing the microcode.
Make sure a microcode change completes before beginning operations involving remote
paths.

With XP7, when using virtual storage machine volumes, make sure to specify the XP7's physical
serial number. A virtual storage machine's serial number cannot be specified.

Procedure 8 To configure systems and define remote paths

1.

In the primary XP7 Remote Web Console’s Storage Systems tree, click Replication > Remote
Connection.

2.

In the Remote Connections window, click the Connections (To) tab.

3.

From the Actions menu, click Remote Connections > Add Remote Connection.

4.

In the Add Remote Connection window, select the Connection Type. For Cnt Ac-S Z, select CU
(connects CU by CU).

5.

In the Local Storage System box, for Local CU, select the CU number in a range from 00 to
FE.

6.

In the Remote Storage System box, specify the following:
