Select the Ports tab.

In the list, click the port whose attribute you want to change

From the Actions menu, click Ports/Host Groups > Edit Ports.

In the Edit Ports window, select the Port Attribute: Initiator or RCU Target. If you need to specify
other settings, see the HP XP7 Provisioning for Open Systems User Guide.

Click Finish.

In the Confirm window, review the settings and enter a task name in the Task Name box.

8.

Click Apply to save your settings to the system.

Configuring primary and secondary systems for Cnt Ac-J

You associate the primary and secondary systems in the Continuous Access Journal relationship
and define the remote paths between them in one procedure.

Prerequisite information

This procedure must be performed on both primary and secondary systems

The primary and secondary systems must already be configured for Continuous Access Journal
operations. For more information, see

“System requirements” (page 15)

The data path must be set up. For more information, see

“Planning the data path” (page 33)

.

The port attributes on the primary and secondary systems must be configured for Cnt Ac-J. For
more information, see

“Defining fibre-channel port attributes ” (page 54)

.

The system’s subsystem identifier (SSID) and the CU number will be required during this
procedure.

A path group ID will be required. This is a group of a maximum of remote paths. For more
information, see Path Group item in

“System requirements” (page 15)

.

Procedure 10 To configure Cnt Ac-J systems, define remote paths

1.

In the primary XP7 Remote Web Console’s, click Replication > Remote Connections.

2.

In the Remote Connections window, click the Connections (To) tab.

3.

From the Actions menu, click Remote Connections > Add Remote Connection.

4.

In the Add Remote Connection window, for Connection Type, select System.
