3. Click Add.
When you add an enclosure, the appliance:
•
Detects the server blades installed in the enclosure and adds them to the appliance. For each
unique server blade hardware configuration, the appliance automatically adds a server
hardware type.
•
Detects and adds the interconnect modules installed in the enclosure. Because you selected
an existing enclosure group, the appliance does the following:
1.
Compares the interconnect hardware configuration to the interconnect configuration
specified by the logical interconnect group associated with the enclosure group.
2. Notifies you if the two configurations do not match.
NOTE: (Optional) View and edit server hardware types.
A.5.12 Creating a server profile for enclosure 2
Create the server profile to use as a template for the last four servers to be provisioned as hosts
by VMware vSphere Auto Deploy.
1.
From the main menu , select Server Profiles and then click + Create profile.
The Create Server Profile dialog box opens.
2. Under General, enter the following information:
•
For Name, enter vSphere Template2.
•
For Description, enter Optional server profile for stateless autodeploy.
•
For Server hardware, select unassigned.
•
For Server hardware type, select BL660c Gen8 1.
•
For Enclosure group, select EncGrp2.
•
For Affinity, select Device bay.
3. For Firmware baseline, you can select manage manually or one of the other firmware bundles
in the repository. For this example, select manage manually. You will change the firmware
baseline when you copy the profile in
“Copying the template server profile to four servers”
(page 298)
4. Add the connections for this server profile. Click Add Connection to open the Add Connection
dialog box:

Add two connections to the dev networks network set. When you finish entering the
information for a connection, click Add +.

b. Add two connections to the test networks network set. When you finish entering the
information for a connection, click Add +.
