EA collector backup CPU:

PARAM EACOLL-BACKUP-CPU <cpu-number>

[STRTWVP]

This is the CPU where the backup process for the EACOLL program will be started. If
omitted, or if an invalid value is specified, the backup CPU is determined by the system.

Default value 1

Minimum value 0

Maximum value Max. CPU number

Days scanned for initial run:

PARAM LOOKBACK-DAYS <nn>

[STRTWVP]

This is the number of past days the EA Collector looks at to build its database during the
initial run after installation.

Default value 30

Collect as soon as process starts :

PARAM RUN-ON-STARTUP [YES/NO]

[STRTWVP]

This flag indicates whether the EA Collector collects information from logs as soon as process
starts every time or whether it waits until the next run time.

Default value NO

Web ViewPoint location:

PARAM WVP-LOC <$vol.subvol>

[STRTWVP]

This is the location of the Web Viewpoint instance that EA is running under. It is used by
EACOLL to locate the WVP acknowledgement database.

Default value $SYSTEM.ZWVP5

EMS collector:

This is the EMS collector whose logs are scanned for events. At installation one collector is
added though additional ones can be added from the EA Admin interface after installation.
Location is the ENSCRIBE file EACOLS (modifiable through EA Admin Collectors Screen).
Collector name format is same as process name format on NonStop.

Default value $0

Volume to store action event logs:

The volume where action event log files EAyymmdd.EAACT are created. Location is the
ENSCRIBE file EAPARAM (modifiable through EA Admin Configuration Screen). A valid
volume name is up to characters long, starting with the ‘$’ sign and followed by 1 or more
alphanumeric characters with the first character being an alphabet. Note: It is important if you
run more than one instance of WVP and EA, that the EAACT file for each instance be on a
different volume, otherwise the contents of the EAACT file will not reflect the correct values.

Default value $SYSTEM

Daily run time: This is the time (hour and minute) of the day when the EA Collector begins

scanning the EMS logs daily. Location is the ENSCRIBE file EAPARAM (modifiable through
EA Admin Configuration Screen).

Default is 02:00hrs
