Figure 26 Admin – Add/Edit Alert Definitions

In the above screen, the hourly and daily thresholds represent the number of events that can be
generated by the owner-subsystem in each hour/day respectively until EA throws an alert. The alert
can be set to be enforced on one or more weekdays and for specific hours of the day.

EA throws an EMS event having SSID 289, with details on the alert. The event number for this
event can be set on the screen above, and can be any number between 500 and 700. Severity and
optional text can be set here as well.

The status of the alert is ‘Active’ by default. It can be changed to ‘Inactive’ to not enforce the alert
while also not deleting the alert definition. Only one set of thresholds (hour and day) can be set per
owner-subsystem.
