Cause: Occurs on the “FILENAME_SCAN_” Guardian procedure call. The Guardian error number
indicating what the cause was is part of the event text. Could occur due to various reasons, for e.g.
incorrectly formed filename (Error 13).

Effect: The changes made to the daily run time or the one-time loads initiated from the Admin screen
will not be completed.

Recovery: Recovery will depend on the specific Guardian error returned. For e.g. Error 11 can be
recovered from by ensuring the EACOLL program is present in the EA subvolume.

<Program Name> <Function Name>: Unable to retrieve process handle for <Filename>

Relating to function or activity: Admin interface program getting the process name for EACOLL
program.

Cause: Occurs when the admin interface program attempts to retrieve the process handle of the
EACOLL process but cannot do so due to errors such as non-existent process, etc.

Effect: The changes made to the daily run time or the one-time loads initiated from the Admin screen
will not be completed.

Recovery: Recovery will usually involve ensuring the EACOLL program is present in the EA
subvolume and that the process for the program is running.

Relating to function or activity: EACOLL process creating of Action items database.

Cause: The error number indicates the cause of the error.

Effect: The Action item information and Responsiveness number may be wrong.

Recovery: Depends on the error number.

Relating to function or activity: Depending on the filename. Either Admin on UI functionality.

Cause: Occurs when one of the components is unable to open the file. The filename is specified in

Recovery: Depends on the Filename and Error number.

Relating to function or activity: Depending on the filename. Either Admin or UI functionality or
EACOLL process.

Cause: Occurs when one of the components is unable to read the file. The filename is specified in the

Effect: Depends on the Filename and Error number.
