4 ADVANCED FUNCTIONS

4.1 VCR

If there is to be a VCR connection, it should be connected with video OUT 8.

4.1.1

Trigger signal

The VCR trigger is supplied via the
VCR BNC:

If used, the external reset signal can be set as active on the down front (NEG) or on the up front (POS) of
the trigger impulse.

Minimum VCR recording time is the half-frame (20ms). If the recording shows “cut” images (the top of the
frame shows one camera and the bottom another) change the type of trigger activation (POS/NEG).

4.1.2

Selecting the cameras

The VCR replaces monitor 8 and uses its settings for the switching sequences.

The cameras shown by the VCR are taken from those included in the settings for monitor 8, considering
only the cameras included within the sequence, without repetitions and ignoring display times.

For example: if monitor 8 is set up with a switching sequence camera 1 for 2 seconds, camera 5 for 1

second, camera 3 for 1 second, camera 5 for 4 seconds, the corresponding VCR sequence will cover
cameras 1, 3 and 5, in ascending order. The times, repetition of the camera and the order within the
sequence are all ignored.

A camera cannot be selected manually on OUT 8 if the latter is dedicated to the VCR.
