With reference to figure Power and RS-232 Connections (internal-power supply)

(p. 44),

some CR3000 dataloggers are shipped with a power supply internal to the

removable base. This internal power supply may use alkaline batteries or sealed-
rechargeable batteries. For more information and installation procedures, refer to
the Alkaline Battery Base

(p. 84)

or Sealed-Rechargeable Battery Base

section.

When the base is in place, move the on/off switch on the side of the CR3000 base
to the On position. If using the sealed-rechargeable battery base, remember not to
leave the CR3000 running too long without connecting the primary power source.
