DELETE FILE
Syntax
delete file=filename
Parameter
file
Specifies the name of the file or files to be deleted.
Description
This command deletes the specified file or files. Wildcards are allowed in
the name elements of the file identifier.
The filename must be a valid filename between 1 and 16 characters long.
Valid characters are lowercase letters (a–z), uppercase letters (A–Z),
digits (0–9), and the characters ~ ’ @ # $ % ^ & ( ) _ - { }. Invalid characters
are ! * + = “| \ [ ] ; : ? / , < >. Wildcards are not allowed in the filename
extension.
Caution
Caution must be taken when deleting files such as configuration
files because they contain information which is vital to the
operation of the switch.
Example
The following command deletes the configuration file named test.cfg:
delete file=test.cfg
