SHOW AUTHENTICATION
Syntax
show authentication
Parameters
None.
Description
Use this command to display the following information about the
authenticated protocols on the switch:
❑ Status - The status of your authenticated protocol: enabled or
disabled.
❑ Authentication Method - The authentication protocol activated
on your switch. Either TACACS+ or RADIUS protocols may be
active. The TACACS+ protocol is the default.
❑ The IP addresses of up to three authentication servers.
❑ The server encryption keys, if defined.
❑ TAC global secret - The global encryption key that applies to all
authentication servers. This is an optional parameter.
❑ Timeout - The length of the time, in seconds, before the switch
assumes the server will not respond.
Example
The following command displays authentication protocol information
on your switch:
show authentication
