If the play does not start

Make sure the recorder is not locked (pages 17,
72).

Suppressing the skips of the sound
(G-PROTECTION)

The G-PROTECTION function was developed
to provide a higher level of shock resistance
than that of existing players.
Note
The playback sound may skip if:
the recorder receives stronger continuous

shock.

a dirty or scratched MiniDisc is played.

When using the headphones/
earphones connect them directly to
the recorder

1 Press the jog dial.
2 Turn the jog dial until “AUDIO OUT”

flashes in the display, and then press to enter.

3 Turn the jog dial until “HeadPhone” flashes

in the display, and then press to enter.

The playback mode will switch automatically

(stereo, LP2 stereo, LP4 stereo, or monaural).

To play only the tracks in a certain group, see

“Using the group function (Group Mode)”
(page 40).

The volume setting can be stored to the

Personal Disc Memory (page 69).

Note

If any of the following occurs during a recorder
operation, the lid may not open until the power
is next turned on.
The battery is removed.
The recorder is removed from the USB cradle

with the rechargeable battery uninserted.

The AC power adaptor is disconnected.
The battery becomes exhausted.

If you press . twice continuously while playing the first track of the disc, the recorder goes to the
beginning of the last track on the disc.

If you press > during the last track of the disc, the recorder goes to the beginning of the first track
on the disc.

Once you open the lid, the point to start play will change to the beginning of the first track (except when
the disc information is stored to the Personal Disc Memory).
