Copier status Major cause Correction action
Nothing is displayed on the
Control Panel. Is only Start lit in blue? The low power (sleep) mode is
set.
Press any key on the Control
Panel to cancel the low power
mode. (p. 2-18)
Start does not light in blue. Have you entered the ID (ac-
count) number? Enter the number according to
the procedure in "Entering the ID
(account) number". (p. 5-10)
Even if you press Start, you
cannot make copies. Is Error on the Control Panel
lit? While viewing the Display to take
a corrective action according to
the troubleshooting by display.
The Main Power Switch has
just been turned on, and the
copier is in preparation mode. It will take approximately 15 sec-
onds after you turn on the Main
Power Switch.

Power does not appear to have
been supplied to this machine. Has the power cord been re-
moved from the outlet? Plug in the power cord.
Has the breaker for the location
where this machine is installed
been turned OFF? Turn on the breaker.
