OVERCASTING (When using the side cutter)

By using the side cutter, you can do overcasting
while cutting the fabric.
If using the side cutter, select the pattern and
then touch the “

key.

1. Push the “NEEDLE POSITION” button to

raise the needle, and then turn off the power.

2. Raise the presser foot lever.

3. While pressing the black button to the left of

the presser foot holder, pull the presser foot
holder downward to remove it.

4. Set the screw of the needle bar into the fork of

the operating lever.

Make sure that the screw is held firmly by the
fork.

5. With the presser foot raised, align the presser

foot holder screw hole directly with the notch
in the side cutter, then insert the screw
provided in your accessory bag (accessory #3
on page 7) and lightly tighten it. Lower the
presser foot lever and firmly tighten the screw.

6. Select the pattern and then touch the “

key. The necessary adjustment for the side

cutter will be carried out automatically.
