Use on waists of skirts, the sleeves of shirts, etc.

1. Set the stitch length to 4.0 mm (3/16”) and the thread

tension to weak.

If you touch the “GATHERING” key after touching the

” key, the stitch length will be set automatically to

4.0 mm (3/16”) and the thread tension will be set

automatically to weak.

2. Attach presser foot “J”. Pull out the bobbin and upper

threads by 5 cm (1-15/16”).

About 5 cm (1-15/16”)

3. Sew two rows of straight stitches parallel to the seam line,

then trim excess thread leaving 5 cm (1-15/16”) .

4. Pull the bobbin threads to obtain the desired amount of

gather, then tie the threads.
