6. USING THE MACHINE

6.1 SAFETY STANDARDS TO ADOPT BEFORE USING THE PLATFORM

6.1.1 RISK OF ELECTROCUTION

If the machine must be used near electric power lines, the user must remain at a suitable
distance from the latter. The table below supplies the values relating to the minimum distan‑
ce from electric power lines depending on the type of voltage.

Keep a safe distance from mains power lines and electrical systems, considering the
possible range of movement of the platform and its oscillation, as well as the possi‑
ble oscillation of the power lines.

Before starting operation, examine the work area, taking note of overhead power
lines, moving machinery, such as overhead cranes and road, rail and building
equipment.
