ASSEMBLY
Scraper Assembly Procedure for the
Optional 8J001 Wheel
1. Attach scraper brackets to frame tube of pulverizer.
See Figure 2-22.
IMPORTANT
Prior to installing the scrapers ensure the pulverizer
is placed on the ground. Otherwise scraper to wheel
clearance will be affected.
NOTE
On machines with 4” x 6” frame tube, there are three
brackets used and U-bolts are used for attaching as
shown above. Put middle bracket as close to machine
center as possible and outer brackets close to outside
ends of frame. On machines with a 6” x 6” frame tube,
there are four brackets used. Straps and 7 1/2” long
machine bolts are used for attaching instead of U-bolts.
2. Assemble one bracket at each end of frame and
assemble the remaining two brackets such that the
space between all brackets is approximately equal.
3. Attach the 2” square scraper tube to the scraper
brackets. Use 1/2” U-bolts, Flat Washers,
Lockwashers and Nuts. Be sure the scraper tube is
centered on machine.
4. Mount scrapers to scraper tube using 3/8” U-bolts,
Flat Washers, Lockwashers and Nuts. The one wide
scraper is used at the center. (Allow a small amount
of clearance, approximately 1/8” between scrapers
and wheel surface.)
